Food, Nails and Tickets

Wednesday after work, I drove into Everett to meet my friend, Erika, for another overnighter while she was in town for a class for her work. The whole time centered around eating, talking, nails, eating and talking......... Sorry about the sideways photo AGAIN, but sometimes I just can't win the battle. Wednesday dinner was deli-purchased lasagna, green salad loaded with vegetables and big delicious cookies, eaten in our jammies. You can see Erika's new lovely jams in the background!
After a continental breakfast of eggs, potatoes and different biscuits and breads, we went out for a pampering pedicure...........

They had the relaxing massage chairs here, too, as well as heated muffs to put our hands into!

After our toes were all pretty, the hands got the treatment.......

Manicures!

The last step of drying the nails under lights.

Next we crossed the street to a funny restaurant named "The Flying Pigs"..... you can see flying pigs painted on the walls in the background.........

The luncheon special

After lunch at "The Flying Pigs", we crossed the street, entered "The Mermaid Café" and bought a big gingerbread cookie to split.........

You can see it is a retro-decorated café. And to end the fun day.........

A wonderful parking ticket....... another way to yet encourage downtown business!

A real patriot is the fellow who gets a parking ticket and rejoices that the system works.
